Just Catchin' Up

Well as you can see it has been awhile since I have thought to update the blog. Well here goes... it is only a couple days before Christmas and I am already tired of Chloe asking me if it is Christmas yet. We have some presents under the tree already and she keeps bugging me to open them. I guess I would too if I were her age...I still sometimes want to open presents before it's time now...can't blame a girl for trying huh?

We have been doing well and super busy of course. We are now on the Christmas break for most thing snow so this break will be nice. My mom (Memaw) is flying in for a visit today and will be here till Jan. 2nd which will be nice to have her here for a little bit. We have a couple things planned so that should be fun. Chloe of course is super excited for Memaw to come visit.

The kids are getting bigger by the day. Chloe is already looking forward to her birthday in February and is planning it all out. Since Disney is giving a free park pass to the birthday person I think we were planning on going to Disneyland for her birthday. We will see how that planning goes. I am looking forward to visit and see Southern Cal. Noah is still just as cute and continues to wrap everyone around his little fingers. He is currently working on getting teeth number 13,14,15,16...yes all at the same time. He has been this walking drool machine just oozing with slim. He is catching on to the baby sign language that we have been using and knows several signs now. It is fun to see when he uses them and we know exactly what he wants. We did visit Santa this year and Chloe couldn't wait to tell all that she wanted...Noah on the other hand didn't want anything to do with him...note the pictures below...

Well I guess I should take a rest for now...I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!

Chloe's Big News

The most wonderful thing happened tonight on the way home from Wal-Mart.... Chloe prayed and asked Jesus into her heart!

She had a friend/neighbor who came over one day acouple months ago and said "The angels were dancing for her tonight becuase she had asked Jesus into her heart." Of course we were all very excited for her. Well on the way home tonight Chloe asked why the angels were dancing for her friend. So we of course told her why and then explained that we all sin (yes, even mommy and daddy sin) and that Jesus died for our sins and when we ask Jesus into our heart he saves us and all of our sins are forgiven. Well she then asked God for him to be in her heart and that he said "Yes!". So Eric prayed (I was driving) with Chloe and we are all excited now! What a great day and yes...the angels are dancing for Chloe right now~!!!

God Bless!

Trick or Treat 2008

Well we had a fun and exciting Halloween 2008. The kids went around base in a base office "parade" then that night we went to our base chapels fall harvest festival and then went to a few friends and neighbors homes. Basically the just of it all is there is way tooooo much candy in our house now. Chloe went as a yellow tabby cat and Noah was a little tiger. They were too cute for words of course.

Just havin' fun

Just wanted to post some pics of the kiddos just having fun together. It is amazing that we have now been in California a year now. Time sure does fly. ENjoy!

Turning 30...yikes!

Well yes it is true I offically turned 30...can you believe it??? I sure remember when I really thought 30 was old ...now look at me. Well as per my request for my 30th birthday I just wanted to spend time with my family and just have fun together. So I asked to go to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom (which is a little like Sea World). We actually have season passes and try to go once a month. I love going becuase we all have a great time and it always is just such a nice day together. So with that said here are some pics of us having fun. Chloe also was able to touch an opposum and we all go to touch an elephant. It was a good time had by all. We then stopped by Chevy's Tex-Mex for dinner on the way home.

Look who is ONE!

Can you believe it, our little man is ONE! Yeap, Noah turned one year old on Friday, July 18th. It was kind of a crummy birthday for him becuase he isn't feeling very well. After a week he is still running a low grade fever. I have called for another appointment tomorrow morning. I think it might be a sinus infection. We did have a few neighbors over for a cookout and cupcakes on Saturday. Noah looked like he would have liked to be in his bed instead of partying. But, he stuck it out and eat his cake anyways. It did make for some cute pictures though. So with that said, enjoy!

Fun in the Sun

Well we have been awaiting a nice trip back home to beautiful North Carolina. It has been a blast for everyone. The kiddos have been troopers moving from house to house as we stay with my dad, the beach house and then my sister. We had a gorgeous week in the Outer Banks and weather couldn't have been any better. Noah wasn't too sure of the sand however by the end of the week he was eatting it. The kids had a blast playing with all of the cousins and we have enjoyed watching them do so. It has been nice to be away but it is always nice to go back home too.

I know many of you have metioned you never see me in any of these pictures...so here I am with the kiddos at Mother's Day brunch at the Beale Club.

Happy Summer hello 100 degree days!

Wow....is it hot.... last weekend we had some triple degree days however now it is nice and cool...go figure. Thank God for the good old air conditioner. It has been nice to have especially on those days. We also tried to stay cool with little kiddy pools and sprinklers. Chloe has some great friends that she loves to play with. They live convienantly right across the street so they see each other all the time. Enjoy the pics.

Well Noah is getting down the whole crawling thing. He started pulling up to standing today...our little man is growing bigger and stonger by the minute.

He can see!

Well I would consider it a success! Eric had his PRK (similar to LASIK) done on Monday morning. It took about 24-28 seconds per eye! After the procedure he sat up and was able to see the clock on the wall! He has been in a little discomfort since but seems to be getting better each day. He had another check-up today and they removed the bandage contact lens and gave him even more eye drops to take. His last check-up at Travis will be Monday and then he has all his future appointments at the clinic here and closer to home. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers for him. Please continue to pray for a speedy recovery. Miss you all.

Noah's new talent

Well Eric got a big surprise yesterday when he went to get Noah from his nap...he was sitting up in his bed all by himself. This is a new feet all by himself so needless to say we moved his mattress down a couple notches. Well that is Noah's latest and greatest. Will be in touch with more updates. Miss you all!

Recent pictures of the kiddos

Well I try to send out updated pictures of the kids but just wanted to post some cute ones. Well they are all cute so it is difficult to choose. Enjoy!

Oh, updates on the kids...Chloe is cute as ever and seems to always be getting into something. Noah is busy growing...he is working on his 4th tooth and this one is giving him trouble complete with bruised gums. He is also thinking about crawling. He is is on all fours and rocks back and forth however his prefered mode of transportation is rolling. He rolls everywhere!

Our first post

Well I guess we will try this out. A friend (The Coen's in Germany) have one of these and it was a neat way to keep in touch and to see update of their growing family. So here goes.

We are doing well and enjoying the wonderful Northern California weather (it is currently 82 degrees).

Eric has big news to share that he is very excited about. He is finally getting PRK (similar to LASIK) eye surgery done. The big day is coming up soon...April 21st. He will have a few pre-op appointments next week and then several post-op appointments the following week. Because it is a a bit of a big deal he will actually be out of work for a week to recover. This will be the third base he has tried to get on the list and finally this one feels like it will finally happen. We will keep you posted as to his progress and outcome. Please keep him in your prayers for a safe surgery on the 21st.
